About Us/Welcome

Friends of Central Iowa Biking (FCIB) is a non-profit group of bicycling enthusiasts dedicated to the promotion, development, and maintenance of bikeways throughout Central Iowa for recreation, fitness, and transportation. We: 
  • advocate for cyclists, presenting local, county and state officials with legislative and safety concerns;
  • support bicycle routes and recreational trails development in the city, county, and central Iowa area;
  • promote safe riding through membership programs and bicycle safety rodeos;
  • sponsor rides during the year, and support rides with other organizations.
