For more than 10 years now, FCIB has "adopted" the two-mile long stretch of Cameron School Road NW of Ames as part of Story County's Adopt-A-Road litter-reduction program. We pick up litter along the roadway each Spring and Fall.

We held our Spring pickup day this year on March 28 in conjunction with the Ames-wide "Stash the Trash" community cleanup campaign. Six FCIB members collected a total of 8 large bags of garbage, which were hauled to the "Stash the Trash" collection site via bike and trailer.  Again a big thanks to Jim Gregory for organizing the effort, working the pickup, and hauling the load to the trash disposal site !!
